Disaster Relief Intensifies

Several more adult entertainment companies are preparing to send resources to aid in the disaster relief in New Orleans and Mississippi.

Bikini Brawl and Dane Productions are teaming up to present a charity event on Saturday evening, September 10 at Shenanigans Gentlemen’s Club in Van Nuys, Calif., with the proceeds going to the American Red Cross to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina earlier this week.

Several Bikini Brawl matches are scheduled and Dane Productions will give out free DVDs to those who can make donations. All door money, raffle money and DVD sales will be collected at the end of the night and presented to the Red Cross. The event is open to the public with a cover charge of $15 or if you bring the club’s ad from the L.A. Weekly the cover will be $10.

Talent set so far to take part of the Bikini Brawl matches are Alana Evans (newest MoFo Wear girl), Annie Cruz, Kat, Amber Peach, Nicole Oring, Carla Harvey and more names to be added daily. Dane Productions will also provide several talent and directors.

Shenanigans Gentleman’s Club is located at 15932 Stagg St, Van Nuys, CA 91406. The show starts at 5 p.m.

Holly Randall, a photographer and director, said that those suze.net and suzevideo.com members who are registered in areas affected by the hurricane will have their memberships comped for three months.

"I realize that many of them don't have computers, but at least they don't have to worry about being billed for the time that they can't access the sites," she said.

Meanwhile, MALLcom is donating portions of their earnings or material goods to victims.

A MALLcom spokesperson said, “We have all seen the devastation of Hurricane Katrina by now. It’s impossible to escape the horrific images on television. This tragedy has touched all of us at MALLcom and we feel obligated to do something about it.

“A portion of all proceeds from Labor Day weekend sales will be donated to the American Red Cross to help aid in relief efforts. In addition, MALLcom will be matching that donation with a contribution to the Humane Society.”

MALLcom vice president May Aharony added, “While the nation is getting ready for Labor Day weekend, we realize many people affected by the hurricane don’t have the luxury of planning that final summer BBQ or family get together. They need immediate relief and we’d like to help.”

In a first reference to the many thousands of lost and abandoned pets, also victims of the hurricane, Aharony said, “We’d also like to donate to a cause that’s near and dear to our staffs’ hearts.

“The Humane Society does great work with animals, and we’re going to match our Red Cross donation dollar-for-dollar with a contribution to them, to help animal relief efforts in the region as well.”

Adame S, Mr. S Leather and Slave Labor Productions have all joined the effort as well.

“We are donating one percent of all our online sales and store sales to the American Red Cross,” said Paige White. “We hope that all our fellow Webmasters will join this effort to make things better for the thousands upon thousands of homeless, hungry and dying fellow Americans."

Meanwhile, Holly Halston sent this statement:

"Our family is suffering from some hard times right now, and we don't have anything to spear but we have a lot of love to give. We know how it feels to loose everything you feel all alone. Not having anything means not having power or devices to have any form of communication in or out it can make the dark nights seem endless.

"Our family is going to send our love threw the light, we are going to spend our labor day nights lighting candles and holding them high in the air sending our love threw our lights. Our family is asking the rest of our Great Country to Help us send our love.

"As the Victims of Katrina look up at the sky tonight there will be a little more light with all the hope and love in the dark, lighting the spirits and showing the world we are a family."

Anarchy Films and Python Pictures have also decided to help, announcing that between now and October 31 that from any order placed on www.smutbymail.com, $5 will be donated to the Red Cross.

"We also would like any of the talent that has worked for us to come in to the office and donate something of theirs with an autograph on it so it can also be sold on www.smutbymail.com," Anarchy said in a statement. "One-hundred percent of the talents donation will be given to Red Cross."

Meanwhile, HotWaxCosmetics.com, founded by Stephany Drotman, announced it would donate 20 percent of it's proceeds to support those directly affected by the disaster."If we all help out, we can make a difference. Every little bit helps," Drotman said. "This hurricane has left one of my own family members homeless - Katie is one of the lucky ones, she is still alive and was taken to the Dome in Texas...."
