SAN FRANCISCO—Adult filmmaker Shine Louise Houston, founder of Pink & White Productions, will hold a Reddit “I Am A: Ask Me Anything” Q&A session online tomorrow, June 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST.
The queer porn producer, dubbed a visionary by the Feminist Porn Awards, will answer questions from the public regarding the adult entertainment industry and her career, including her long-running lesbian/queer porn website CrashPadSeries.com and upcoming feature film Snapshot, an erotic suspense thriller starring queer women of color. Houston is crowdfunding to produce the new movie independently, and will share how this creative control serves as a means to create diverse, high-quality film that resonates with queer communities and communities of color.
“I’m looking forward to hosting a Reddit IAmA for the first time,” said Houston, who posted her photo evidence for Reddit on her personal Twitter page. “This summer marks my tenth year in the business, so I've got a lot to share. After launching Snapshot's IndieGoGo campaign, I've begun engaging more and more with my audience and industry peers. Hosting a Reddit AMA will be another way I can talk about my new work.”
