Director JacktheZipper has joined Vivid Entertainment Group. Known for his creative film work, which he conceives, shoots and edits himself, JTZ boasts a background that includes being kicked out of art school, a career as a touring musician and working as a tattoo artist. About joining Vivid, the helmer said, “I like to make movies that are talked about, and Vivid is attractive to directors with a distinct vision.”
“We admire Jack’s bold and artistic approach to filmmaking and look forward to working with him,” said Steven Hirsch, co-chairman of Vivid.
“I view filmmaking as an art and adult entertainment as the last cultural frontier," continued JTZ. “It is tied to the mainstream in invisible ways. I make my movies to be wild and guilty pleasures and to be timeless.
“I hope to touch as many people as possible with my work and outlive any trend.”
JTZ is the AVN Award-winning director of such titles as Stuntgirl, Squealer and his latest release, Blacklight Beauty.
The director said his first movie for Vivid will be an ambitious space fantasy using top talent, “including the Emmy Award-winning CGI wizards who worked on such films as Return of the Jedi and Hellboy.
