CHATSWORTH, Calif. - She may be familiar to prowlers of artsy nude websites and the alt crowd, but the prior-to-now cult model Stoya has just taken a giant step up to full-fledged porn stardom by signing an exclusive, three-year contract with Digital Playground.
Hailing from North Carolina, the decidedly off-DP's-beaten-path Stoya performed only girl/girl and solo scenes previous to signing the contract, doing so in just a handful of DVD titles over the course of the last year or so, including JacktheZipper's Razördolls (Pulse Pictures) and Winkytiki's Man's Ruin (Vivid Alt).
But now, there's virtually nothing she's not up for, the impish 21-year-old starlet told AVN in an exclusive interview.
"I do girls on camera, I do boys on camera, I take it in the ass on camera," she said. "I haven't done double penetration yet — I just had anal sex for the third time in my life three weeks ago, and it was on camera, so I think I'd like to get used to that before doing the double penetration thing. But I would do that, yes."
As far as how she came to the decision to shift so full-throttle onto this new path — which she revealed she did a mere six weeks ago — Stoya said, "A bunch of people over the entire time I've been taking my clothes off on the internet were like, 'Hey, would you ever do boys?' and I'm like, 'I don't know. Not right now. I'm not ready yet. Don't want to think about it.' And then when I was meeting with Digital about doing girl/girl scenes for them, Robby [D.] was like, 'Would you ever do boys?' and I'm like, 'I'd have to think about that. Actually, I think I will think about that.' And he was like, 'That means no.'
"And I thought about it for like a week," she went on, "and I was like, 'Well, are there any reasons that I wouldn't want to?' And I couldn't really come up with any concrete reasons that I wouldn't want to. The typical reasons that I wouldn't want to are like, 'Oh, I wouldn't be able to have a steady relationship,' or 'What are my parents going to think?' But my parents are pretty much like, 'Do whatever you want to. As long as you're not going to die or get arrested, sure, just be happy.' And a steady relationship? There's plenty of problems just doing scenes with girls or just dancing or just posing nude, so it's really not that much of an issue to go from having relationship problems because I take my clothes off to having relationship problems because I suck other dudes' cocks. Plus, I'm 21 ... I really don't need to worry about that!"
Stoya said she hasn't especially thought much about her long-term career goals, simply because, "I'm more excited about what I'm doing right now; I'm kind of myopic like that. I'm really excited that working with Digital, they'll put effort into making sure that I'm performing as well as I can be, and that everything is as pornographic as I want it to be. And they do the makeup and the costumes and stuff like that, so I don't really have to worry about that anymore, so I'm just like, 'Yay! This is exciting! I'm doing boys, and I don't have to worry about doing my own makeup and bringing my own clothes!' So I haven't really gotten to the point where I'm like, 'OK, this is what I want to do with my career.' I'm just like, 'Hey, I have a career! Sweet!'"
She does have one definite ambition, though: "I hope [viewers] are going to jerk off on my pictures and send me pictures of the splooge-covered pictures. I want Digital to call me and be like, 'Oh my god, could you please stop telling people to send splooged-covered pictures to us, because we're scared of them.' I want that to happen."
So far, Stoya has shot about 10 scenes for DP; the first due out — and her first with a guy — is in Jack's POV 9, scheduled to hit shelves in December, with reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year Tommy Gunn doing the honors of popping her boy/girl cherry. Then in January, her first headlining vehicle, Stoya: Sexual Freak 7, is set to arrive.
So what does the world need to know about Stoya? "The world needs to know what Stoyaberries taste like," she mused mysteriously, "so that they can tell me, and then I'll know."
