VAN NUYS, Calif. - Digital Playground has announced the upcoming release of Joone's Island Fever 4 HD-DVD on October 23. The movie is the company's first dual-layer 30-gigabyte, HD-DVD title. With this release, Digital Playground is the first company to offer all of the behind-the-scenes and extras in HD.
“It was always my intention to show Island Fever 4 in HD,” said Joone. “I am very pleased with the result and excited to see the consumer response.”
The announcement comes on the heels of Digital Playground’s recent evening-high five wins at the 15th annual NightMoves Awards last week, as well as news that the company will announce a new contract girl while exhibiting at the Venus Berlin fair, next week.
“Island Fever 4 is one of our top sellers on DVD and customers have shown their anticipation for this huge selling title's HD-DVD release by reserving their copies so they can see Joone's stunning erotic visuals in a whole new light,” said Laurence Gaydos, the purchaser for online retailer, AdultDVDEmpire.com.

Originally released on standard def, Island Fever 4 received 12 AVN nominations. The movie is the first to star all of Digital Playground's exclusive contract stars. The cast includes Jesse Jane, Teagan Presley, Jana Cova and Sophia Santi, Kinzie Kenner, Marie Luv, Evan Stone, Scott Nails, Tommy Gunn, Marco Banderas and Jean Val Jean.
