VAN NUYS, Calif. - Digital Playground has launched the official Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge website at PiratesXXX.com, kicking off the countdown to the movie's street date on Sept. 27.
"Since the website is essentially the gateway to the new film, it was imperative to create a site which conveys the sexiness and immense budget of the film," said Digital Playground co-founder Joone, the writer/director of the Pirates movies. "It was also important for the website to allow easy access to all things Pirates. Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge is more than just a movie, it's an experience, and we want everyone to be able to participate."
PiratesXXX.com features trailers, an all-star cast photo gallery, film information, current news, behind-the-scenes
videos (including sexy clips too revealing for Digital Playground's YouTube site), disc features, and other extras. The website allows the user to place Pirates II banners, videos, and wallpapers for on their personal social network pages such as MySpace and Facebook.
"It's amazing how easy it is for stores to get a hold of 'Pirates' banners and wallpapers for their website homepages," said Digital Playground sales rep Peggy. "Even better, stores can contact me or Craig and request us
to add a link to the banner so that when a customer clicks on the banner, it takes them directly to the sales page. There's even a countdown clock on the webpage, so stores should start to get their orders in as soon as possible. This is the biggest adult film in history, and copies will fly off the shelves on September 27."
Digital Playground will update the site weekly with new videos and other features.
"My favorite part of the site is the video section," said DP CEO Samantha Lewis. "We'll be updating the page every week with a new Behind-the-Scenes featurette. The film is phenomenal, and so I believe that people will be really excited to see how we reached the finished product. The cast and crew had so much fun with each other, constantly laughing and playing jokes."
'Pirates II' stars Digital Playground contract girls Jesse Jane, Shay Jordan, Katsuni, Stoya, Riley Steele and Gabriella Fox. The cast also includes Belladonna, Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, Brianna Love, Abbey Brooks, Shawna Lenee, Rhylee Richards, Brea Lynn, Shyla Stylez, and Veronica Rayne. Evan Stone, Tommy Gunn, and Steven St. Croix reprise their ground-breaking roles from the original Pirates, joined by Manuel Ferrara, James Deen, Marco Banderas, Mick Blue, Ben English, and Charles Dera.
