Adult film star Dick Delaware will take on kick-boxer Jeff Ford this Saturday afternoon in the main event of an underground fight promotion called Venom.
Delaware, whose real name is Aaron Brink, will be fighting for the first time since March 20, when he knocked out 6-foot-5, 330-pound Cory Timmerman to win the Rage in the Cage Super Heavyweight title at the Celebrity Theatre in Tempe, Ariz.
The no-holds-barred fight is being held at an undisclosed location in the Los Angeles/Orange County area and is an invitation-only event. Delaware expects to find out the location later tonight, after which his guests will be notified. To be placed on his list, call (818) 415-8867.
If Delaware beats Ford, he may be offered the chance to return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he fought and lost on Nov. 17, 2000 at UFC 28: High Stakes in Atlantic City, NJ.
Known as "The Pornographic Puncher," Delaware enters the fight with a professional record of 21 wins, 9 losses and 1 draw. The event will be contested in a ring under Pride Fighting Championship rules, which means kicks to the face of a grounded opponent are allowed.
Delaware, a native of Huntington Beach, is 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds while Ford is 6-2, 240.
