Dennis Hof: Pimpin' For Ron Paul

CARSON CITY, Nev. -Moonlite Bunnyranch owner Dennis Hof is making national news headlines for his public support of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul.

“I got a call from Tucker Carlson from MSNBC, who is a dear friend – not a customer!" Hof told AVN. "I’ve done his show many times. He called and said he was coming to Reno with the Ron Paul campaign and said. 'I think you should take a look at this guy.' So the next day, we picked up Tucker in the limo and we went down to this press conference...and of course, the media came right to me."

At the press conference, Hof immediately felt a strong affinity for the Texas congressman's political philosophy and decided to endorse the campaign.

"This guy makes absolute sense," Hof said. "He's all about states making their own decisions. He's not against prostitution; he thinks it's a state issue. For the sex industry, I don't think we could have a better candidate than Ron Paul. He has the old Nevada philosophy of 'live and let live.' Let the states decide what they want to tolerate and what they don't want to tolerate. That's my kind of candidate: a guy who lets me decide who I want to fuck, and what I want to watch."

Numerous mainstream media outlets have picked up on Hof's support of Paul, including CBS, Fox News and MSNBC. And Hof plans to continue upping the ante with his own campaign: Bunnyranch Prostitutes Pimpin' For Paul.

"I’m going to show up at a rally with some of the Bunnyranch girls, including Summer Verona, Sunny Lane, Brooke Taylor, Bunny Love, and Air Force Amy," he said. "We'll have the girls bring in a pink wheelbarrow full of Nevada silver dollars and we’re going to donate the maximum that can be donated to his campaign. We’ve put a collection box in the Bunnyranch parlor for customers to contribute to the cause. One guy just gave us a hundred dollars; we’re going to raise a lot of money for this guy. Through the Bunnyranch and our crazy antics, I hope that we're able to bring exposure to Ron Paul's campaign and get people to take a look at him."

Hof stressed that the porn industry should also get behind Ron Paul:"Can he win? I don't know. But the porn business should jump on this. Whether or not he’s got a chance, at least it shows we’re putting our support toward somebody who thinks like we do."

Paul's spokesman Jeff Greenspan told the Associated Press that the politician does not personally condone prostitution. But, he said, "it's not the role of federal government and it's not in the constitution for federal government to regulate these things."

Some reports on Hof's endorsement of the candidate featured stock footage of former Bunnyranch girl and AVN Hall of Famer Sunset Thomas. Thomas has since issued her own press release stating that she does not support Ron Paul. For the record, Sunset endorses Barack Obama.
