LAS VEGAS, NV—Long lauded as one of the pre-eminent and best known films ever produced by the adult Industry, Debbie Does Dallas received a prominent mention on the new critically acclaimed NFL Network show, The Timeline.
The classic VCX film from 1978 stars porn legend Bambi Woods as an aspiring cheerleader for the “Texas Cowgirls,” loosely based on the legendary Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Woods, who ended up trying out for a spot on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad, was cut during auditions.
Narrated by Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner and legendary actor Sam Elliott, the Timeline segment, titled "A Tale of Two Cities," presents a fascinating look at the great Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers rivalry throughout the years.
Saturday Night Live veteran Rob Schneider summed the phenomena of Debbie Does Dallas best. Said Schneider, “They talk about America’s team and all the beautiful cheerleaders and stuff, but no ever talked about the 49ers cheerleaders. No offense 49ers cheerleaders, but nobody ever made a porno about the 49ers cheerleaders.”
The spot on the NFL Network was negotiated by So Cal Licensing’s Wendy Crawford. VCX films were also featured on the highly rated Showtime network show Dave’s Old Porn, starring famed comedian Dave Attell.
