Deadlines Loom for AVN Pre-Nominations

Deadlines for pre-nominations for the 2006 AVN Awards are rapidly approaching. By September 30, titles must have been released and on the street, in the hands of distributors, to be eligible for consideration.

October 10 is the deadline for entering pre-nominations on the special AVN pre-nom site, www.avnawards.com/nominations, which will be shut down at 9 a.m. on that day. Producers and performers can still obtain a user name and password to the site by emailing Heidi Pike-Johnson, AVN Senior Associate Editor, at [email protected]. The site is not accessible otherwise. AVN no longer accepts pre-nom lists in hard copy or via fax or email.

Also due on October 10, in the AVN offices, are two DVD copies of any title or scene producers would like to have considered for nominations, as well as sample materials used in marketing campaigns if seeking consideration in those categories.

To be eligible for a 2006 Awards nomination, a production must have been released between Oct. 1, 2004 and Sept. 30, 2005. Final nominations will be announced in November. The 23rd annual AVN Awards show will be held January 7, 2006, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
