David Mamet Finds ‘Lost Masterpieces of Pornography’

LOS ANGELES—Acclaimed author, playwright and director David Mamet puts his cheeky spin on vintage pornography in a new video clip posted to comedy site FunnyOrDie.com.

The clip, which was “discovered in the woodworking shop of a Beverly Hills dentist,” according to narrator Ricky Jay, is the featured video on the site’s homepage.

The titillating clip, shot in grainy black and white in order to look authentic, features June Crenshaw (Kristen Bell) as the so-called “sex kitten” of the Supreme Court.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (Ed O’Neill) retires to his chambers only to find Bell in stockings with her dress unbuttoned as she cools herself in the sweltering Washington, D.C. heat.

O’Neill gets in the act as he unwittingly disrobes as Bell crawls on the floor with a fan blowing her dress overhead. As she gets up, her dress gets ripped off after getting snagged on a nail.

Very cute.

Mamet received Tony Award nominations for his plays, Glengarry Glen Ross and Speed-the-Plow. The former also received a Pulitzer Prize. Mamet is the creator and producer of the TV show The Unit and co-produced The Shield. His latest play, Race, stars James Spader, David Alan Grier and Kerry Washington.

Bell is famous for starring in the hit TV show Veronica Mars. She also can be seen in Get Him to the Greek, which opens nationwide today. Ed O’Neill played Al Bundy in the long-running sitcom Married With Children. He currently stars in ABC’s Modern Family.
