Danzig Taps Craven Moorehead To Helm Live DVD

Adult video director Craven Moorehead (Maximum Thrust, Bust'n Nuts On European Sluts, Peter North's North Pole series) has been tapped by popular heavy metal singer Glenn Danzig to direct and shoot his latest concert DVD. This Fourth of July weekend, Craven will travel to Arizona to shoot two Danzig concerts for the as-yet untitled DVD, set to be released later this year. The concerts will take place Friday, July 2 in Phoenix at the Marquee Theater and Saturday, July 3 in Tuba City at the Community Centre.

"I'll take the tour bus out with them Thursday night filming behind the scenes and soundcheck and then I will shoot the concert," Moorhead, who is under contract for his adult work with Peter North, told AVN.com. "I'm a huge Danzig fan, so this is an honor. I have one tattoo, and it's a Danzig skull on my shoulder."

The former Misfits frontman has released a slew of successful solo albums since departing the seminal ghoul rock band in 1983. His songs have been covered by heavy hitters such as Metallica and Johnny Cash, and his video for the 1987 debut hit "Mother" is played in heavy rotation on VH-1's Metal Mania and MTV2's Headbangers Ball even today.

"Its kind of like a dream come true," Moorhead said. "I met him one time at a concert four years ago. The next time, I brought down some porn chicks to one of his video shoots. We became friends after that."

It just goes to show that the only thing rock stars love as much as porn stars is guys who bring porn stars with them backstage.
