Danni's Marketing Director Drives Away

Samuel Agboola has left Danni's Hard Drive after four years on the bridge, as he put it in his May 21 announcement.

"I had a wonderful time working with Danni Ashe and the team at DHD," he said in a statement. "I'll miss the company a great deal and am excited to move on and focus on new opportunities."

One of the team who launched Maxim and worked for Ogilvy and Mather before joining Ashe on the Web, Agboola said he will evaluate options "carefully" before making his next professional move.

He credits himself with "put(ting) together a successful bid" to get the popular adult actress/dancer/model recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records as "the most downloaded woman," and credited Ashe with fostering a working environment receptive to new ideas.

"The day-to-day challenges presented by marketing and promoting a large subscription Website are significant, and I'm proud to have successfully shouldered that responsibility for a world-beating brand," he said. "I feel that the market is on the edge of a huge shift in the way that content is delivered and created, and having spent the last couple of years working toward that, I am interested to see how other companies plan to manage that transition. Though it's going to be hard to match my working last experience I sincerely look forward to doing so."

A spokeswoman for Ashe could not be reached for comment as this story went to cyberpress.
