CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Dane Productions is finalizing its list of volunteers to help out at this year's Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, scheduled for Sept. 2. At last year's event, Dane vice president Bob and 16 volunteers representing the Free Speech Coalition raised over $10,000.
Bob told AVN that he's looking for new volunteers as well as those who joined him last year. "Anyone who worked the telethon last year with me and wishes to do so again, can give me a call," he said. "I have lost a lot of the contact phone numbers, and definitely need the support again."
The annual, nationally televised event raises money to fight against the remaining forty neuro-muscular diseases.
Dinner will be provided by the Olive Garden, and volunteers will be on camera for the four hours that they work. The local feed for the telethon is at KCET studios on Sunset Blvd. Bob will also arrange for transportation, if needed.
Bob said he needs to finalize the list of volunteers by August 17.
Volunteers can reach Bob at 818-349-6600 or 888-390-0767, or e-mail [email protected].
