CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Alt-porn starlet Dana DeArmond will appear in-person on Monday at the Penthouse Boutique (151 W. Service Rd.) in Hartford, Connecticut. The starlet will be talking to fans and signing autographs from 5 to 9 p.m.
The signing marks the first of its kind for Vivid Entertainment Group’s new imprint, VividAlt. DeArmond will be promoting the company’s latest release, Eon McKai’s Girls Lie, as well as her upcoming title Dana DeArmond Does the Internet.
“I’m extremely excited about the signing,” DeArmond told AVN.com. “I’m primarily an internet girl, so this will give me a chance to get out there and press the flesh with my fans, in the flesh.” DeArmond first gained popularity on the web, amassing over 300,000 friends on the popular online site, MySpace.com . She has since performed in hardcore videos for several adult companies including Hustler and Evil Angel.
“This will be a good opportunity to bring the internet customer out into the retail store,” continued DeArmond. “People can get a little scared about using their credit cards on the web, so now they’ll have a chance to see me in person.
“I love to do stuff for my fans, and personal appearances are something I plan on doing more and more, into 2007.”
“It’s pretty exciting to see how Dana has come up like this,” added director/producer and VividAlt head Eon McKai. “She’s taken an entirely different route [than most starlets], and it’ll be interesting to see how she operates, when she takes it to the porn stores. Dana is definitely a different kind of porn star.
“We’d love to do more of these kinds of appearances in the future, and get more involved with the brick and mortar shops.”
