LOS ANGELES—She may not have been chosen for her own title role stint on ABC reality show The Bachelorette, but Digital Playground wants to give Misee Harris another shot at it ... or at a triple-X rendition, anyway.
Harris, a pediatric dentist who has also been a contributor to The Huffington Post and The Guardian, attracted news coverage in 2013 with her social media campaign to become the first-ever black Bachelorette, only to have the show's producers pass her over.
Digital Playground says it hopes to provide Harris the showcase mainstream denied her by way of a Bachelorette parody with her in the lead role. Stated a company press release, "Digital Playground recogizes beauty, strength and brains when they see it, and that is what Harris represents. ... We'll eagerly await her response."
