Cybersocket Web Awards Taking Nominations

Nominations are being accepted now through August 15 for the fourth annual Cybersocket Web Awards, hosted by Cybersocket magazine to honor the best lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Websites.

"Every year, numerous Websites in 30 different award categories are nominated for their achievements and innovations in the LGBT Internet market," Cybersocket said as they announced the opening of nominations. "We feel that it is essential to honor these individuals and companies as being technological entrepreneurs, important agents of free expression and cultural change, and innovators in queer media and entertainment."

Voting will follow the final nominations entries, with the awards ceremonies scheduled for January 2004. Sites are customarily nominated based on how well they fulfill their stated intentions and missions, usefulness, designs, functionality, and uniqueness, the nearly six-year-old magazine said.
