ENCINO, Calif. - Cruel Media partners Raul Cristian and Clara G. brought their unique brand of ass worship to Porn Valley last month for two and half weeks of shooting and went back to Budapest with 35 scenes featuring American (or American resident) women.
Budgeted at over $200,000, the marathon shoot at various Valley locations was "the most expensive project for us so far," Cristian told AVN. It was the company's second filming trip to L.A. but the first to concentrate on boy-girl action.
The scenes will go up on a new Cruel Media site, AssTitans.com, which has a launch goal of Nov. 1. They will also go into two new DVD series, to be released in November: Ass Titans for Evil Angel and Tunnel Butts for Jules Jordan Video. The latter will be a double-disc set.
Clara G., who was an actress (girl-girl only) before she became a producer, shoots several Cruel Media lines of her own, including My Evil Sluts (Evil Angel) and Give Me Pink (Jules Jordan).
This new niche, she told AVN, is "focused on ass. Nice girls with big round asses. That's why we came here to America-nice boobies and nice asses. In Europe, most of girls, they are very pretty, but they are very skinny. And if you have a niche that focuses on ass you really want to see that ass on screen.
"Before the shooting, we hoped we would be able to have all the energy and chemistry with the girls that we have at home. And we didn't have any kind of problem. Everybody was so open and nice and they really want to work. I'm very satisfied."
Among the talent they worked with were Audrey Bitoni, Kimberly Kane, Flower Tucci, Ricki White, Prya Rai, Devon Lee, Sophie Dee, Jayden James, Trina Michaels, Luscious Lopez, Melissa Lauren, Jennifer Dark, Loona Lux.
The male talent was strictly European. Cristian's aggressive gonzo style depends heavily on the often manic energy of his stud stable. He brought along from Budapest Mike Angelo (also a Rocco regular). Euro stars David Perry and Toni Ribas and French actors JPX and Ian Scott were already in L.A. The only new casting was Spain's Marco Banderas, who fit right into Cristian's hard-slamming team concept.
The Cruel Media gang shot three scenes a day, with Raul directing the first two, then handing off his Hi Definition camera to actor-director Perry for the third. Clara G. did some camera work (as well as a girl-girl scene with Sasha Grey) but mostly acted as producer, dealing with paperwork, downloading footage and dressing and paying the talent.
Even though Perry (who also calls Budapest home) and Cristian are friends, they had never before worked together until now. Cristian decided to give him a chance behind the camera and the experienced Perry caught on fast, earning himself a place on Cruel Media's regular team.
Like Clara, Raul was pleased with the Porn Valley girls.
"What I like about the American talent is I don't have to teach them the basics. I don't have to teach them how to arch, how to suck, how to fuck. I shot only one beginner girl. That's the reason I really enjoy my work here.
"First of all, I'm nice, I pay right, I achieve with them what I want. I never do things that they don't want to do or don't like to do. We try to push them to have a good time, because if she do something she don't like, it's there and you cannot sell that."
Asked if everything was going well, he replied, "Everything's perfect. Not well, perfect. I'm very happy because now I know what I can do here."
Which means that Cruel Media will definitely be grabbing more ass in L.A. in the near future.
