Version 3 of the Content God Adult content management system has been launched. The new version offers full support of Windows Media, RealMedia, QuickTime, .mpeg, and .avi video formats, Content God said announcing the launch, with support for auto-thumbing including the choice of one of ten auto-generated video frames or by the exact second.
Other new features include TGP module expansion to include MGP galleries, a pay site video area creation section, and video extensions to GOTDs and POTDs, with the Webmaster able to call videos to external players or embed them into templates.
Content God also retooled and streamlined the engine coding so site and gallery creation speed is about five times faster than before, the company added.
"This is not only a boon to pay site owners and MGP-submitting Webmasters, but the new capabilities now allow sponsor programs to create even more tools, including static free hosted galleries with photos and with videos for their Webmaster affiliates," Content God said. "They can now offer pictures of the day, video of the day, rotating or static image galleries and movie galleries just by placing their referrer code pass through codes into the master templates."
Version 3 also maintains the standard Content God functionality, keeping it "the one tool that can create free sites (complete with side links list pages), TGP galleries (including no-recips and hundreds of mirrored galleries), AVS sites, POTDs, GOTDs and pay site member photo areas and video areas," the company said.
This doesn't mean Version 2 has gone the way of the proverbial Edsel: Content God said that version is now known as "Content God Classic," with a revamped logo generator that is also included in Version 3. The Classic now includes a full server license for unlimited sites and domains, replacing the five-domain limitation of the original Version 2. And the price for Classic is now $400.
"The only difference is that the Classic version does not include the new video functionality of the 3.0 version and it can also be used on virtual servers," the company said. "We wanted to ensure there was still an affordable all-purpose solution that was within the reach of the average Adult Webmaster wanting mass gallery and site and traffic creation, and the Content God Classic version does that."
