The vice chair of the Nevada Republican Party, Richard Ziser, has asked – no, demanded – the resignation of freewheeling Mayor Oscar Goodman because of his role as a guest photographer for Playboy.
Goodman, who likes to promote Sin City by appearing with showgirls wherever he goes, recently photographed Miss January 2001, Irina Voronina, in the Palms Hotel and Casino for Playboy.com.
Ziser, who is also co-chair of Nevada Concerned Citizens, said Goodman shouldn’t be doing such things as an elected official.
Goodman, who obviously doesn’t give a shit what Ziser says, called the photo shoot a publicity stunt to promote the booming Las Vegas tourism industry.
“Every day that I have, I live to the fullest,” Goodman says in the video accompanying his photo shoot. “I drink to excess, I gamble with both fists, and when I eat, I eat like a gourmand. I can do whatever I want, I'm the mayor.”
Take that, jerk!
Goodman was the first politico to appear as a celebrity guest photographer for Playboy.com. His shoot was posted earlier this week.
