Companies Can Learn About the Gay & Lesbian Community

of-its-kind series of private, high level briefings for Fortune 500 companies that will guide them on how to use eCommunity to understand and sell more effectively to the gay and lesbian market. The Gay.com Network is the largest gay and lesbian online community.

The briefings will provide in-depth presentations and discussion on the website's eCommunity e-commerce program. ECommunity uses interactive tools that help build and reinforce online communities such as chat, e-mail and message boards throughout the website to create multiple opportunities for buyer-seller dialog. Using information derived from these exchanges, advertisers can create online and offline advertising and promotions that more effectively target their audience.

"The gay and lesbian community represents a highly affluent market so it makes sense for advertisers to understand and target them," said Stuart McFaul of Spiralgroup, a public relations firm representing the Gay.com Network. "Many companies are unaware of the group's needs." McFaul says that the gay/lesbian community is extremely brand loyal to advertisers that specifically target them.

Each eCommunity briefing will host up to 20 advertisers. Dates and location for the seminar are as follows: \n** Wednesday, April 21 New York City \n** Thursday, April 29 Los Angeles \n** Tuesday, May 4 San Francisco \n** Wednesday, May 19 Chicago \n** Thursday, May 20 Washington, D.C.

The meetings are being coordinated through the communications firm Witeck Combs. Interested parties should contact Wes Combs at 202.789.0408.
