Colt Studio to Distribute AMG Classics

In a statement issued Friday, Colt Studio Group (CSG) announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Athletic Model Guild (AMG) to distribute AMG's entire product line worldwide.

The AMG catalog was acquired by photographer Dennis Bell from AMG founder Bob Mizer's estate earlier this year. (Mizer died in 1992.) CSG will represent all lines of classic AMG titles, including Best Size, Wrestling Live, Anal Erotica (A&E), and others now being repackaged and digitally remastered for today’s market.

"I am thrilled we will be representing the classic work of Bob Mizer," John Rutherford, Colt Studio Group President and Executive Producer, said. "The history and timeless beauty of all the Athletic Model Guild titles is a natural fit for CSG and we jumped at the chance to bring these legendary titles into the Colt Studio Group distribution line."

"Dennis Bell and I go way back," Rutherford continued. "Dennis shot all the stills for the movies I directed at Falcon Studios—Flashpoint, Big River, The Renegade and many more. I am so proud of him and stand by him to ensure his success."

"Athletic Model Guild and Colt Studio Group have a natural, built-in brotherhood," stated AMG's new owner Bell. "Our studios are the oldest in the industry, with roots reaching back to the very beginning of commercial gay erotica. With AMG turning sixty years old in 2005 and Colt approaching forty, we have a century of male physique material in our archives. As AMG starts up production again, I look forward to what our combined histories will offer to the industry in the coming years."

Colt Studio Group’s first AMG title, Best Size 35, is in release now. This classic from Mizer's solo series is available for the first time on DVD.
