Countless adult fans the world ‘round know stunning porn legend Christy Canyon as the bodacious superstar of classic XXX fare; retired from the business, now Canyon has added another notch to her sex-biz belt. The lady has taken over for the newlywed Julie Ashton on Playboy Radio’s Night Calls, sharing hosting duties with Tiffany Granath.
“I did a lot of guest hosting when Julie or Tiffany couldn’t make it,” said Canyon of how she landed the gig. “Then in April they told me Julie was getting married and moving to Florida and asked if I’d be interested in testing for the job. I said absolutely. They had a few people test—myself, Alana Evans, Kylie Ireland—then finally I got the call after four weeks. It was weird to have to wait and not be sure. It was the first time in my life in adult that I had to wait for someone to approve of me, but I was up against tough competition.”
Part of the show’s attraction is the freedom of speech, courtesy of its home on satellite radio. “You can say anything except brand names,” Canyon revealed. “The premise is that it’s a sex advice show. We get calls on things like how to find a girl for a three-way, or how to find a girl’s G-spot, or am I a squirter or am I just pissing? We also get calls where people talk about meeting a girl and having sex with her, and they want to share the story.”
Nice work, if you can get it. “It’s so much fun! I saw Julie Ashton at Tiffany’s wedding last weekend and I said, ‘Thank you for getting married! I got your job, so it’s win-win for both of us!’ I feel so blessed by the world of porn,” admitted Canyon.
“We’ve had everyone from Gary Marshall the producer to the anal queen Lisa Sparxxx and everyone in between. You really just don’t know who’s going to show up from day to day. It’s a blast!”
