Cherry Boxxx Pictures will release PornoMation, the first in a series of computer animated, “lyrical erotic visions,” on Friday.
“They are cutting edge digital creations, crafted for masculine and feminine enjoyment,” Cherry Boxxx Vice President Allen Gold said.
The release of PornoMation is a departure for Cherry Boxxx, which has branded its name with gonzo and wall-to-wall product.
However Gold reported the response to their new project has been decidedly positive, as pre-orders have exceeded 4,000 after the company aggressively marketed the title at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in January.
“I felt like we needed something different,” Gold told AVN.com Monday. “We launched Cherry Boxxx in September of 2003, and we’ve made a brand label for ourselves. We wanted to show that we’re also capable of taking different steps in adult and not just continuing to put out what we do. We wanted to show that we could step out of an ordinary type of production and do something that’s different. Coming from VCA, that’s what we’ve done and we’ve put that same mentality into Cherry Boxxx.
“This is not your ordinary type of porn production. This is more of a collector’s piece. It is not a cartoon in any way.”
PornoMation is the creation of Sagemonn and Karynna, a husband and wife team that crafted a series of explicit short stories that range from “dark and brooding to light and whimsical.” The eight digitally animated shorts are all hardcore and XXX-rated complete with full penetration and popshots.
