SAN FRANCISCO—Fans and supporters of feminist porn are invited to join their favorite queer and feminist porn stars in a panel discussion, Images of the Feminist Future: a Panel on Feminist Porn, about building a feminist future through porn. This event will be hosted by the Center for Sex and Culture, a celebrated San Francisco event space, library and sex culture archive.
Panelists at the event will include Jiz Lee of Pink and White Productions, Princess Donna of Kink.com, Tobi Hill-Meyer of Handbasket Productions, Courtney Trouble of TROUBLEfilms as well as the popular Cinnamon Maxxine and Chelsea Poe. Topics will include feminist praxis-in-action, queer world building, the politics of representation, and more.
Attendees at the event will be able to partake of snacks and drinks while watching clips of feminist porn produced in the Bay Area and checking out merchant tables in a scent free, accessible location in the South Market area of the city.
So save the date Saturday, August 9, and prepare to be thrilled and amused. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the clips will start running at 8:30. The panel discussion will take place from 9-11 p.m., all at the Center for Sex and Culture, 1349 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA.
The Center for Sex and Culture was founded 10 years ago by Dr. Carol Queen, the celebrated essayist, erotic writer, sexologist, educational porn star, lecturer and more and Dr. Robert Morgan Lawrence, a sex educator who holds double Ph.D.s in Human Sexuality and has been in the field for 38 years.
