Cell Phone Photo Uploading Now Available: Yahoo

If you're a cell phone user with Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, Cingular, or Verizon, you can upload photos to your Yahoo Photo online accounts right off your camera-capable cell phone, Yahoo announced July 23.

Called the Mobile Photos Upload service, you can use it by registering the make and model of your phone and your wireless service provider, and receive an e-mail address to use when sending photos to your account, Yahoo said.

AT&T and Sprint cell phone customers can also download their stored photos onto their cell phones, Yahoo continued, while the Java version of Mobile Photos Upload lets you save images locally on your phone and make a personalized album and slideshow you can access without being online. You can also swap photos through the Mobile Photos Upload with other cell phone users – even if their cell phone service is different than yours.

AT&T is charging $2.99 a month for the Yahoo Mobile Photos service. Yahoo is also not setting limits on how many images you can upload from your cell phone, and isn't charging extra for Mobile Photos Upload.
