Carey to Appear on Fox News, MSNBC Shows

Mary Carey will be a guest on Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto” live from 4 to 5 p.m. EST this Thursday.

The starlet will appear in studio with Cavuto, who will be broadcasting from Washington D.C. this week instead of his headquarters in New York. Later that night she will attend the "United to Victory" dinner with President Bush, and then make an appearance on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country."

A spokesperson for “Your World with Neil Cavuto” said Tuesday that Carey was invited to be a guest because of her political aspirations and savvy, and her attendance at the Bush fundraiser. The starlet first appeared on the show in August 2004 discussing her “Bullets Not Boobs” campaign.

Carey garnered national attention in June 2005 when she attended a similar dinner with Bush, in which she was accompanied by her former employer, Kick Ass Pictures president Mark Kulkis.

Now an exclusive performer for Legend Video, Carey said she was originally scheduled to receive an award at the dinner sponsored by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), but she told AVN.com that she now is not receiving an honor for 2005 Businesswoman of the Year in California.

“I was approved to win the award, but they revoked my award when they saw a press release saying I was Mary Carey,” Carey said. “When they found out, they came up with a reason why I couldn’t receive the award. I think it comes down to this dinner allows photo opportunities with all the Congressmen, and they couldn’t tell me ‘no’ to the dinner. Originally I had somebody pay for my dinner, but now I had to use my own money and I’m not allowed to go to the luncheon with [Bush senior advisor] Karl Rove [on Wednesday].

“That’s what they just told me, I’m kind of feeling… I understand their point of view, but I’m just a future politician trying to learn how things work. Hopefully, I’ll still have fun.”

Ed Patru, a spokesman for the NRCC, told AVN.com Tuesday that Carey is not receiving an award because “she is not a member of the NRCC Business Advisory Council.”

“The award is available to the Business Advisory Council. The first I heard that she got an award was when she announced that to the press. But as far as I know she should not have and in fact did not receive an award from the NRCC. She is coming to the dinner,” Patru said.

Patru was specifically assigned to watch over Carey in June 2005 when she came to Bush’s fundraiser with Kulkis.

“She was assigned an NRCC staffer. It was my job to make sure that she and Mark had their questions answered, and on the flipside making sure members of Congress knew who she was,” Patru said. “ … They were both very professional, very amicable and didn’t cause any problems and I hope they had a good time when they were in town.”

Carey is also holding a press conference in Washington on Thursday evening, and will be a guest on Alan Colmes’ Fox radio show on Thursday night. She will return to Los Angeles for a feature engagement with Kendra Jade on Friday and Saturday at Spearmint Rhino in the City of Industry.
