Cardinal Throws Stones at AT&T

At a luncheon for a local affiliate of Catholic Television, CTSA, Cardinal William Keeler spoke firmly against the lack of public outcry regarding the distribution of adult entertainment by AT&T and General Motors. rn rn

AT&T distributes explicit pornography through The Hot Network, while General Motors owns the satellite distribution system DirecTV.rn rn

Keeler said CTSA's service to the ecumenical community has been especially important at a time when "the demon of the media" is influencing young people as never before and entertainment media executives shift blame to other points in the system.rnrn

It was also announced at the luncheon that Time Warner Cable had finalized the deal to carry Catholic Television on their cable network up until 2012.rnrn
