Canadian Government Angered by Sex Shops' Resumé Process

Gary McRobb, a member of Canada’s legislative body (MLA), is upset that applicants for a government job listings were directed to drop off their resumés at a local sex shop.

“That’s just not right,” McRobb complained to the legislature on Thursday.

"If the government's leading [workers] to a sex shop to apply at a government facility, what kind of message does that send?" McRobb asked Premier, Dennis Fentie.

Fentie dismissed the issue, saying: "There is no answer to this question because it is absolute rubbish and has no place in this institution."

CBC News reported that a recent job posting for a cook at the Blanchard highway camp said people should apply at the Adult Warehouse, which has the same owner as Rupert's Catering, which has the government camp contract.

When told the issue was debated in the legislature, Adult Warehouse manager Ellen Oppold dismissed the politicians as a "bunch of prudes."

The job, she told the report, was filled two weeks ago.
