Cameras Set To Roll On Skin City Flick During AEE

Principal photography for Think Digital, Inc.'s documentary feature, Skin City, will begin the first week of January at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas. Based on the new book Skin City: Uncovering the Las Vegas Sex Industry by award-winning author and Las Vegas personality, Jack Sheehan, the documentary will capture candid interviews with the people who consume, sell and try to control sex in Sin City.

Skin City: Uncovering the Las Vegas Sex Industry has already sold out at stores in Las Vegas and, in the process, gained significant local and national attention. HarperCollins, a leading publisher, has taken notice of the heightened interest. The New York-based subsidiary of News Corporation has purchased the rights to an original trade paperback, which will be sold around the country beginning in mid-2005. HarperCollins will also begin selling the international book rights in the coming months.

Inspired by the book's chapter on "The Oscars of Porn," the inaugural shoot will capture the stars, fans, businesses and events that orbit the AVN Awards and AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. For the completed film, Think Digital is currently planning theatrical, television and home video distribution in both high- and standard-definition formats.

"Skin City follows our successful production of the first high-definition 50th Anniversary Winter Antiques Show, and continues Think Digital's pioneering use of the high-definition format in film and television production and post-production," Greg Berkin, CEO and Founder of Think Digital, said in a statement. "We are very excited to have this unique opportunity to show the world what really happens in Vegas."
