CRB Company Offers Chargeback Solutions

A new service has been developed by the Collection & Recovery Bureau Company (CRB), a division of Royal Oak Financial Services Inc., that provides another option for companies with chargeback problems: CRB now purchases chargebacks from its clients.

With over 30 years experience in the collection industry and over two years specializing in chargebacks, CRB president Ron Burnard said he has developed the databases, software, and staff expertise that allow him to offer companies attractive rates when buying their chargebacks.

"We believe purchasing of chargebacks provides our clients with significant benefits and also provides us more flexibility in recovery these types of accounts," Burnard told AVNOnline.com. "Our expertise, coupled with the flexibility of owning the accounts, allows us to pay attractive rates for our clients' chargebacks."

Burnard said there are three primary advantages of the CRB approach to dealing with chargebacks: A company receives the revenue immediately; can eliminate or reduce internal and outside collection costs; and does not have to worry about the collection process.

"Over the past two years we have been concentrating on developing the purchasing of chargebacks niche for business conducted through the Internet and the audiotext industry," Burnard recalled. "Our analysis of the market indicated there was significant growth projected in these areas as well as being underserved by the collection industry. We realized that by developing the right kind of databases, software and staff expertise we could improve the recovery of these types of accounts. We could find no one else offering such a purchasing program for the Internet and audiotext industries."
