CONFESSES VIDEOTAPING NUDES SECRETLY

A photographer was arrested Friday after he reportedly confessed to secret videotaping of his models in the nude for eight years.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel says the confession might have been prompted by an earlier session with a 28-year-old freelance model at his loft - the model, police tell the paper, was uneasy with the setting for the session and later told her manager she was suspicious of a mirror mounted on the wall.

Her manager contacted police and they confronted the photographer while discovering the mirror was a two-way, the Journal says.

The photographer confessed after more questioning, saying he'd videotaped them mostly without their knowledge over eight years, according to a police spokeswoman. Police confiscated numerous videotapes as evidence, the paper says.

He could be charged with numerous felony counts for the tapes.

The model's name isn't being released because she may be on one or more of the confiscated tapes. Another manager, Jennifer Berg of Talent Unlimited, tells the Journal this seemed to be a case where the model or her manager could not have known about the photographer's voyeurism. And Berg says this kind of abuse is very rare in the modeling business, particularly in Milwaukee, where agents are especially protective of their clients.

"This situation was terrible because the models and photographers have an understood trust," Berg tells the Journal. "It's that feeling you might get after your house is broken into, having your privacy so greatly invaded."
