You've heard of the chastity belt? Get ready for the chastity padlock - a doctor in southwestern China has been arrested for padlocking a woman's vagina to keep her from having other lovers, according to the Beijing Evening News.
The woman apparently was reported to Sichuan provincial authorities earlier this month when neighbors saw her walking with difficulty, the newspaper says.
Local police found she had a rusty padlock pierced through two holes in her labia, the paper continues. She led police to Yao Yung, a doctor at a local clinic, whom the paper says was arrested after he surrendered the key to the lock.
He's accused of drugging and raping the young woman during a checkup and then forcing her to live with him by threatening to kill her family, the Beijing Evening News says.
