President Bush has selected conservative judge Samuel Alito to fill the vacant seat on the United States Supreme Court.
The 55-year-old has served on the federal appeals court for 15 years and was a strong conservative jurist on the Philadelpia-based 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
