Brittany Andrews: BUST A NUT Web Invasion

Brittany Andrews is one of the latest in a long line of models and porn stars to the adult Internet, parlaying their celebrity and notoriety into a Website.

With mannerisms and a bubbly persona suggesting Fran Drescher on Ecstasy, the AVN Award-winning actress says she's appeared on 50 magazine covers and in 400 layouts, and in dozens of hardcore features. Andrews has also been hostess on Talking Blue and Night Calls; a guest on programs such as Howard Stern; and a "sexpert" on Sex Court.

Andrews is an adult auteur. She writes, directs, produces and acts - a sort of Woody Allen of triple-X. Her production company, Britco Pictures, rents studio space in downtown Los Angeles, which features a high-tech dungeon, make-up and wardrobe rooms, props, and lighting. Britco's post-production facility, Cave Post, rents use of an Avid 8000 Film Composer and other equipment for broadcast-quality non-linear digital editing and more.

It was perhaps inevitable that this adult entrepreneur would go digital; now the latest hat this starlet/businesswoman wears is that of Webmistress. BrittanyAndrews.com (www.brittanyandrews.com) went online in spring of 2000. Andrews claims it already has thousands of members; as of November, membership at the pay site had grown 40 percent over the three months prior. According to Andrews, the site is so successful she's driving the car of her dreams, a 2001 Jaguar convertible (which she says she can ride in topless through L.A.) Her pay site, which Andrews refers to as "Tech Sex," costs $19.95 per month, and provides a veritable content cornucopia.

Such as?

"SNN is the Sex News Network," Andrews explains. "It has different channels, consisting of erotic art, fetish fashion, music, a behind the scenes porn star station, Amateur Alley, and Lounge Talk, a roundtable with porn actors discussing political events in the industry. It includes video and MP3 downloads. I've been doing Talking Blue for five years, and I have a lot of footage of me interviewing bands, pornsters, and others. I also have a curator documenting the many parties I host at my studio.

"In the future, I'm planning to add financial news. Younger viewers don't only want to see sex," she says.

The content ranges across the spectrum, from the diverse to the perverse. "My site is a one-stop shopping kind of a place," Andrews boasts. "It goes from really softcore, pretty, beautiful, fluffy kind of stuff to extremely hardcore. I have a multitude of photo galleries, a bio, filmography, naughty nasty movie stills, picture of the month with me and a celebrity, such as Drew Carey or George Michael. There's also a wish list of gifts for me, if you want to be a slave to goddess Brittany. And if you don't like me, then screw me, you can go see my girlfriends, who are also on my site!" Andrews says with her distinctive laugh. These other femmes fatale are meticulously organized into categories, with all the painstaking care of a librarian. "I've got my big-breasted girlfriends, like Fantasia, because - I don't know if you've noticed - but I've got huge tits!" Andrews jokes. "And then there's my porn star girlfriends. And of course, I've got Danni Ashe - because how can you have a Website without featuring Ms. Cyber-Diva herself? As well as magazine models, with Julie Strain, who plays Judge Julie on Sex Court, and shoots much of my photography. Plus yummy young girls coming up in the biz," relates Andrews.

In an equal opportunity gesture, the Wisconsin-born blonde plans to add an Asian section, and live chat via collaboration with fellow starlet Mimi Miyagi. And Andrews, the talk show natural who loves to get the last word, even reviews her own features, such as The Fanny, Wicked Pictures' knockoff of The Nanny.

Andrews, who is known for her own foot fetish, prominently features feet in her site's Exquisite Feet gallery. This includes behind-the-scenes footage of the world's largest foot job gangbang, wherein the self-proclaimed goddess of feet masturbated heaps of footmen with her toes. (The quirky Andrews claims she can quickly "bust a nut" - or come - from foot massages. In addition to footgasms, she also brags about being an avid masturbator.)

Ever the savvy marketer, Andrews also features an e-commerce section on her site. "Erotic Treasures offers 100,000 novelty products," the e-tailer says. "The Pocket Rocket, sponsored by Juli Ashton, is an extremely popular, tiny massaging clitorally orgasmic tool that I used four times yesterday to bust a nut!" Andrews confesses, giggling. The e-store is prominent on BrittanyAndrews.com's Super Slut Girls section, which caters to women. It features pix of erect men and espouses Andrews's way-out brand of female sexual equality and empowerment. (The porn star is also an outspoken advocate of safe sex, and only performs with male partners wearing condoms.)

Andrews says her site also offers weekly newsletters, whether one is a member or not, with news about sexual oppression around the globe, in places such as Afghanistan. "There's actually a huge free component to my Website," she adds. "You can live off of the free part of my Website for a long time. But my whole business plan is that you'll be so overwhelmed that you'll want to see what's on the other side. A lot of people disagree with my business model, and don't believe in giving anything away for free. If I go to a site, and get this dumb little tour, and that's all that I'm getting, I'm not going to fork over 20 bucks! If that's all I'm getting for free, then they've probably got nothing on the other side, and I'm definitely not going back there."

Never one to hold her tongue - onscreen or off - Andrews expounds on her e-commerce philosophy. "I have this novel concept - oh my god, give people what they want!" she exclaims, as if she's found the Holy Grail. "You won't find a bunch of banners annoying you at the front page of my site, trying to make an easy 30 cents off every visitor there. And you won't find Web rings at the end, either. Things that annoy me, as a consumer - I won't do that to my fans. Because this is a personal Website, not just an anonymous one. This is me they're meeting and part of my personality."

The Milwaukee native says that ever since childhood, she wanted to own and operate her own business. Andrews dropped out of junior high, but the autodidact of autoerotica reads widely and has street smarts as abundant as her breasts. At age 18, on a whim, Andrews tried strip dancing. After making $70 in 10 minutes, she turned to nude hoofing as a lucrative career, which took her overseas to Japan, Guam, and elsewhere. This led to magazine stints and eventually her breaking into porn flicks, with the help of veteran star Jenna Jameson. "I came into the adult industry looking for a business, not to be a star," admits Andrews.

Andrews says she's stopped writing for most outside publications, and has cut down on magazine shoots, adult features and the like, and is concentrating on her Website, which affords her creative and financial control. "Instead of having my work scattered all over the place, it's better for my fans, and easier for me, to put it all in one place," Andrews states. "When you first get into the adult industry, and want to become a brand name, you went to get your image everywhere. But once you become a branded image, people start using it for things like child porn sites, escort sites, and other things that you don't want to be associated with, and that can land you in legal situations. Six years ago, they paid me some measly small fee, and they're profiting again, and again, and again, still making money off me. I don't want others to profit off of me unless I profit. Over the years, it's become important for me to take control of my image, likeness, and name. It helps me to not be exploited," declares Andrews, who finds increased independence thanks to cybersex.
