Briana Banks Backs Out Of Bout

Briana Banks has backed out of this weekend's scheduled fight in the Toughman competition against Angelique Lee, an Internet model and occasional spokesperson for Sin City Entertainment. rnrn

Sources close to Briana Banks have suggested that her withdrawal was based on new information that Lee is a martial artist. The same source suggested that Banks agreed to the fight under the impression that she was to fight another porn star, which the source says Lee is not. rnrn

Lee, who signed for Sin City at AEE, is not a martial artist, though she has taken boxing lessons for a little over a year.rnrn

Scott Stein, Sin City's publicist, has a different impression of why Banks backed out of the bout, which was to be for three one-minute rounds. rnrn

Banks arrived at LAX earlier today to fly out with the Sin City Girls to Toledo where the event was to be held. According to Stein, Banks recognized Lee, and when she discovered the Lee was her opponent, she left the airport. rnrn

"She had an obligation and people were depending on her and she decided to back out," Scott Stein, Sin City's publicist, told AVN.com. "She could have taken a dive in the first round and still met her obligations." rnrn

"Vivid could have easily called the promoters and said that she'd come under the guise that she'd fight Karina. But they didn't do that," said Stein.rnrn

Stein went on to issue an open challenge to Vivid, inviting any Vivid Girl to fight any Sin City Girl in a boxing match for charity. "We don't put our girls on a pedestal - they sit them in the corner between rounds," he said. rnrn

The scheduled bout between Sin City Girls Karina and Taylor Starr is still scheduled to take place on February 8 at the Toledo Sports Arena. The Toughman Competition will be broadcast as a pay-per-view event on February 16.
