LOS ANGELES—Students of Prof. Constance Penley's Film and Media Studies class at the University of California, Santa Barbara received a special treat Wednesday evening when four-time-running AVN Director of the Year Axel Braun gave them a special advance screening of the non-sex version of his upcoming release Snow White XXX for Wicked Pictures' newly formed imprint Wicked Fairy Tales.
Students gathered inside The Pollock Theater, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to year-round programming of a diverse array of films and filmmakers, where Braun was briefly introduced before the screening, and then called back on stage for a two-hour-long Q&A.
“It was such a great evening,” Braun said. “Professor Penley is an incredible person who I truly admire and respect, and I am deeply honored that I was asked to speak and to premiere my movie at UCSB. The students seemed to really like it, and I had a lot of fun interacting with them. It was a beautiful, refreshing experience that I surely hope to repeat in the future.”
“It's not every day that the students in my class get to hear from a PhD who won AVN Director of the Year four times in a row,” Prof. Penley offered. “They learned so much from Dr. Braun about everything from the art of film and the history of porn, to copyright and the state of the adult industry, and they were thrilled to get a sneak peek of Snow White XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. The film looked extraordinary on the big screen! Riley Steele is a perfect Snow White, and who knew Jessica Drake could be so deliciously evil?”
