Bo Kenney, Sex Z Team Wins IHRA Championship

Sex Z Pictures owner Bo Kenney helmed one of the Sex Z Pictures race cars in the IHRA (International Hot Rod Association) Championship in Maryland this past weekend. Kenney powered one of two Top Stock pro cars through the finish line and won the season’s final race — which was televised by the Speed Network — as well as nabbed the white knuckle shootout on Sunday giving him enough points to win the season’s grand championship.

The weekend also saw the release of Sex Z Pictures’ latest, Corruption, an Eli Cross-helmed title about a corrupt United States Senator.

“They don’t make too many weekends like this one,” Kenney said. “With Corruption blasting out as hot as it did on Friday and with the International Hot Rod Association trophy we received on Sunday, I couldn’t imagine a bigger weekend for Sex Z Pictures.”

In the race, Kenney managed to beat several contenders, including teammate Monty Bogan and industry attorney Paul Cambria, who pilots the Hustler Hollywood car.

“Great race but I need to get Larry [Flynt] to shake a few more bucks loose to compete with Bo next year,” said Cambria. “Bo worked hard this year and he deserves the championship.

“He only made one mistake, and that was not thanking his wife Shannon who controls the cash,” Cambria laughed.

“This is great and hopefully we’ll be celebrating Corruption in Vegas this coming January,” Kenney said.

Speed (formerly Speed Channel and Speed Vision) will televise the races from Maryland on Oct. 26 and 28, and will also offer them online at www.speedtv.com
