Black Ice Continues Parody Slate with ‘Soul Train,’ ‘Fresh Prince’

LOS ANGELES—Black Ice has plans to continue its slate of ethnic parodies with the release of the “official” parodies of Soul Train and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

First up is the Official Soul Train Parody starring Melrose Foxxx, Jessica Bangkok, Natasha Dulce, Envy Love, Bella Moretti and more is a comedic take on one of the longest running music programs on television. Host Don Cunnilingus is the soul “way back machine” guide who makes a pit stop in the ’80s and brings back “piece, love and ho’z!”

“I think anyone who enjoys music partnered with hardcore sex, whether young or old, black or white, will get a kick out of this movie,” director Tony Flush said.

Following Soul Train is the release of the Official Fresh Prince of Bel Air Parody directed by DaWayne Dane. The parody was shot in a similar fashion to the sitcom that made a star of Will Smith.

Popular characters from the show including Hillary, Carlton, Jazz, Uncle Phil, and of course, Will, are featured. The film captures the essence of the sitcom by presenting two “episodes” of the show taking one storyline from the actual show and another of Dane’s creation.

“I’m playing Carlton, Will’s conservative and socially awkward cousin, who is hell-bent on losing his virginity when hilarity ensues,” Dane said.

The Official Soul Train Parody is slated to release Sept. 28 and the Official Fresh Prince of Bel Air Parody streets Oct. 19. The company debuted its parody line in late-August with the release of the Official Flava of Love Parody.

Black Ice also will be releasing additional parodies in the next few months including the Official Shaft Parody, Official Players Club Parody, Official House Party Parody and the Official Family Matters Parody.
