Bizarre Media Promoting Their New Company’s Videos on TV

Bizarre Media is taking advantage of the mainstreaming of porn by creating a mainstream version of porn. Or rather, they’ve launched a company called Women R Wild that will be creating a mainstream version of porn, a softcore video series that will be marketed on national television much like the series’ obvious inspiration - Girls Gone Wild.

Not that the series is just another Girls Gone Wild rip-off. There are a number of obvious differences that set the two apart.

For instance, Girls Gone Wild never had Tera Patrick, Nina Hartley, Tabitha Stevens, Sunset Thomas, Tiffany Mynx and Dayton as the ringers, designed to raise the bar for uninhibited partying.

Taped during the East Coast Video Show at a club called Déjà Vu, over 250 mainstream women showed up to party with more than 50 porn stars. There was no cover, an open bar, and free food.

“The guy who owned it said, ‘Keith, I’ve been in this business for 35 years and I’ve never been to a better party,” said Keith Gordon, owner of Bizarre and Women R Wild. “You know you’ve thrown a good party when you hear something like that from a guy with that much experience.”

And there were nine cameras shooting every minute, obtaining over 26 hours of usable footage that have been compiled into the first two editions of Women R Wild.

Gordon recruited women to come to his party at the East Coast Video Show. “We told them they didn’t have to take their clothes off. They didn’t have to do anything – just go and have a good time on my tab,” Gordon said.

Gordon made sure to get model releases from everyone and gave them a pass to enter the club. Their pass was double-checked to make sure it matched their I.D., preventing anyone underage from slipping in.

“When we put everyone together everyone just started flashing. It was amazing,” Gordon said.

Another twist was the confession room in the VIP area of the club. Originally intended for just the porn stars, as the night went on, many of the mainstream women ended up telling tales as well.

And yes, the porn stars do, or at least did, have secrets we don’t know about.

“Some of them told me that they had said things that nobody knew about, that had never been heard,” Gordon said.

But a lot of people will be hearing about it now. E! just accepted a 30-second commercial that will start running on December 10. Other stations that will air the ad include Spike TV, Comedy Central, MTV1 and MTV2.

And E! will also be airing a 30-minute infomercial about the series hosted by Tera Patrick that will run after the televised version of the Howard Stern show.

And Gordon plans on shooting his next installment while in Las Vegas for the AEE show.

“We’re going to have some mainstream celebrities involved with party this time. It’s going to be a really, really, good time,” Gordon said.

Party details will be released when finalized. But guys can’t come — unless they’re with a woman.
