Belladonna Recommends Porn for Priests

SYDNEY — While visiting Sydney as a guest of the Sexpo consumer show, Belladonna told the Australian Associated Press that Catholic priests should be allowed to watch porn as a means of relieving sexual tension.

The Sexpo convention coincides with Pope Benedict XVI's visit to Sydney for World Youth Day. The Aussie media reported that the Pope's visit was expected to draw large protests from victims' rights groups concerning the church's handling of sexual abuse cases, and that Australia's sex industry could receive a boost due to World Youth Day.

"The Pope has indicated he might apologize to victims of sexual abuse, and that is a positive thing to do," Bella told the AAP. "But unless he follows up with some practical advice that addresses the sexual needs and desires of clergy, the problem will simply continue."

Bella offered to supply the church with 300 of her movies to be distributed to priests, as well as her services as an educator to clergymen in "exercises ... to help them deal with sexual tension and stress.

"Church clergy are at a crisis because they get no real street-level sex education, but are expected to ply the streets to deliver their spiritual message," she said.

Sponsored in part by Evil Angel, Sexpo Sydney runs July 24-27 at the Royal Hall of Industries and Hordern Pavilion. The event marks the fourth Sexpo appearance for Belladonna and performer Bobbi Starr.
