DALLAS—Belladonna's mainstream debut in the John Wildman-directed horror picture Stripped, originally slated for filming in summer 2010, has been placed back on the rails thanks to new funding efforts from independent producer Ruth Mutch and Palisades Tartan's Debbi Berlin, Bloody-Disgusting.com reports.
To mark Wildman's directorial debut (from a script he co-wrote with Justina Walford), Stripped is touted as a "post-feminitst horror" film centering around "a birthday outing with two brothers and a friend which turns into a horrific fight for survival after they become trapped in a house with a 'family' of malevolent women."
Belladonna will join both of her previously announced co-stars—Samrat Chakrabarti and scream queen Tiffany Shepis—in the project.
"While many films and filmmakers go through longer periods and more difficult roads as they make their way to becoming a reality, it is rare when the entire cast and several people behind the scenes remain a part of the production after you've gone through such a significant delay," Wildman said. "Justina and I were actually caught off-guard by the loyalty and enthusiasm this script and project has inspired with everyone involved in it."
Bella told AVN, "I'm really excited, because the script was really pretty fucking intense, and I feel like I'm in a really good place now, whereas two years ago I was a little more nervous about it. Now I feel like I'm going to take the challenge on, and of course there's still nerves, but it's more of an exciting, 'Oh my god, I want to learn as much as I can.' I'm actually in the perfect mindset for that right now."
Stripped shoots next month in locations throughout Dallas.
