Just call him Barnacle Ron the Sailor. AVN Hall of Famer Ron Jeremy has the green light by Metro to hit the Net this season, starring in and directing the forthcoming Web series, Barnacle Bill the Sailor.
"I am biting the bullet and cannot wait to get started. We were just waiting for Metro to give the nod for RJ to do the show," said Barnacle Bill executive producer Steve Banan. "Ron Jeremy has a lot of respect for Metro and the executives in charge. They have always been there for Ronnie and vice versa. He would have never entered into any project like this without their approval and support."
And it all began with a wisecracking play on the old ditty, "Barnacle Bill the Sailor," out of Banan's mouth one night alone with his wife, adult actress Nicole Moore. He said that while they were playing in an intimate interlude, she denied him access, prompting him to come back with, "I'll pull out my cock and pick the lock, said Barnacle Bill the Sailor." But in that moment, he pulled out his cell phone instead, and called Jeremy.
"Personally, I have never seen or heard of anything fail, that this man, Ron Jeremy touches," Banan said. "RJ is a gem and I am proud to be considered a friend as well as an associate of his."
Jeremy could not be reached for comment by AVN.com before this story went to press. Production for Barnacle Bill the Sailor is due to begin during the first week of February in Los Angeles. Jeremy is also making himself a mainstream hit lately, as one of the co-stars of The Surreal Life on the WB Network.
