Banking Bucks Merges Traditional, Mobile Content Affiliates

Calling it a new affiliate program bridging traditional pay site promotion and new concepts like a mobile phone download program, M Squared Productions has unwrapped Banking Bucks.

The company first hit the mobile market in 2002 by way of Adult videos available to mobile phones in streaming and downloadable formats, and while they've since gone to several projects to exploit the mobile phone content market, M Squared said now is the time to offer Adult webmasters a chance to make money by mobile phone programs and begin augmenting strictly traditional Adult pay site marketing.

"Conceptually, we knew there was some really good crossover between the mobile phone market and people who are buying products such as ringtones on line," M Squared chief operating officer Allen Ingram told AVNOnline.com. "We knew there was good synergy [for] using Web sites for attracting people to make that kind of purpose. It wasn't really a great leap to go from that kind of audience to one purchasing images and videos."

It took M Squared 18 months to develop Banking Bucks, including two months of beta testing. "That was quite a long time," Ingram said. "The main challenge was to really integrate the tracking of the phone purchases into affiliate software, so that the webmasters can go in and track the purchases made in real time. The crossover technology is from the phone carriers' database. We had some special script written for us and can now deliver in real time."

The program got a boost from "some extremely good feedback" in the beta test phase, he said. "Probably a good dozen companies want to work with us to cross promote and get some good traffic to us," he said. "And, some revenue sharing ideas on how to profit from and capitalize on this."

Ingram hopes that a year from now Banking Bucks becomes a pre-eminent adult solution for affiliate programs.

"We feel that we have the expertise in the marketplace to show Webmasters new market streams and new sources of income," he said. "I think the time is really right for webmasters to look into new areas to make money, given what we see now with saturation points for affiliate programs with traditional models. I don't think there's ever been such a need for diversity as there is right now."

M Squared began in 1999 with a single pay site, MaskTV and grew to a dozen premium sites emphasizing high quality content and unique angles, such as MeetMySecretary.com, with an Asian host and a surfer's choice of either fly-on-the-wall cam imagery or "heart of the action" closeups. They're also responsible for AdultMobileCinema.com, where cell phone users can download images and movies to their cell phones, choosing from over 5,000 videos with "tens of thousands more" targeted for future inclusion.

Ingram said he believes "certain webmasters" within two year would be earning between 50-75 percent of their revenue from mobile content programs, "if companies made the most of the available revenue streams."
