Badly Kept Secret Revealed: Morford at GUBA

It’s not really a secret to anyone who deals with either company, but let’s make it official: Kathleen Morford has joined multimedia search and download site GUBA.com, leaving behind her position at AdultFriendFinder.

Formerly the senior affiliate manager for the adult personals giant, Morford now is serving as director of affiliate marketing for GUBA.

“I’m helping to shape GUBA’s rapidly growing affiliate program, as well as helping to expand our product offering,” she says. “We’re not just the kings of USENET anymore. GUBA is the leader of the mobile porn scene. We’re also partnering with larger content producers to feature premium videos to our massive user base.”

Prior to AFF, Morford worked for mainstream operations Pets.com and HelloDirect.com. Her first adult industry foray was as the acquisition marketing manager for DreamCash.

Why did she leave AdultFriendFinder?

“That’s a good question. I love the team at AFF, and there are absolutely no hard feelings. I was simply ready for something new,” Morford says. “I prefer being at a smaller company, one that I could grow myself. Being the biggest is a great ego boost, but knowing that your efforts put a company on the map is the greatest feeling in the world.”

Morford’s efforts will be focused on growing the GUBA affiliate program, and she’s set some lofty goals for the program.

“It’s something I have years of experience in, and it feels great to take GUBA to the next level,” she says. “Who else gives 100 percent of the initial order to affiliates? We’re that confident that each member is going to stay with us for 5-plus months.”
