Bad Boys Do Good

Will Clark \nHOLLYWOOD - Will Clark's Second Annual Bad Boys Pool Party, held at a private home in the Hollywood Hills on Saturday, Sept. 18, was a rousing success despite being challenged by bad weather. In all, the event raised over $10,600 for Los Angeles' Aid for AIDS and its Joey Stefano Fund, more than $2,000 more than last year's event. The event was attended by nearly 250 people over the course of the afternoon.

The party, in its second year, is based on Mickey Skee's Bad Boys of Video books and draws from the ranks of the stars interviewed in both books (or who are selected to be in an upcoming edition) for its bartenders.

Gay porn celebrities who came out to tend bar, sign pictures or magazines and be interviewed by Skee were Austin, Brandon Lee, Christopher Scott, Cole Tucker (interviewed in Volume 1), Eric Evans (interviewed in Volume 2), Spike, Sweet Williams and Thomas Lloyd, all who gave generously of their time throughout the day, entertaining the fans and posing for press. Other stars who showed up to support the event were Derrick Stanton (interviewed in Volume 1), Dean Phoenix, Tony Acosta, Lex Kyler and Ren Adams along with newcomers Tommy Saxx, Kyle Bradford, Austin Reeves, Michael Knight, Brent Banes, Jeff D. Kota, Shawn Islander and Tyler Roberts.

Partygoers were treated to a special visit by porn legend Kevin Williams and his boyfriend, All Worlds Exclusive Lane Fuller. Both were also interviewed by Skee for Bad Boys 3. Williams is scheduled to be the cover model for the third volume.

Spike and Kota were painted by Absolut Vodka ad artist John Planas; Lloyd and Austin were interviewed by Skee for his third Bad Boys book, due summer 2000. Superstar DJ Paul E kept the mood "up" with his superb mixing style.

Sponsors of the event included Odyssey Men Video, Companion Press, Gay Wired, Brush Creek Media, Oh Man! Studios, Sports & Recreation Video, Jet Set Productions, Robert Bergstein, WET Lube, Apollo Bay.com, Tribal Pulse Productions and Great Dane Productions.

Each guest received a grab bag with one video from some of the above companies and magazines like Unzipped, In Touch, Indulge, XXX Showcase, Black Inches, Nightlife, Skinflicks, Dude, Latin Inches, and All Man as well as flyers and discount coupons for future video purchases.

A new Website - www.badboyspoolparty.com - has been set up to present pictures from the party and will be the place for future announcements for upcoming parties.
