Bad Ass Frank Unveils Superiority Complex

What’s somebody with a massive ego and a porn agency to do? Why, start up his own production company, of course!

That’s the way Frank Prather — or Bad Ass Frank, as he calls himself — has gone with Superiority Complex Pictures, his new studio and self-referential joke-within-a-banner.

“Clearly, I have a huge ego,” Prather declared to AVN.com, “but I’m more than willing to laugh at myself about it. I just think adult companies take themselves so seriously — it’s like, come on, man, we’re making porn, it’s fun! Can’t you have a sense of humor about yourself?”

And that’s exactly the type of tone Prather says to expect from Superiority Complex: “Satirical stuff, parodies, that is my genre; if I could make porn versions of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which I may, it would be along those lines. Definitely a drier type of humor, but also … I want to incorporate [the performers’] sense of humor. I mean, a lot of these girls are really funny. The sex scenes are not gonna be funny — nobody’s gonna be wearing goofy hats during the sex scenes, they’re gonna be hot — but you’ll actually like to watch the parts that aren’t sex.”

As far as the parts that are sex, though, Prather says they will be about actual passion, as opposed to stuntwork.

“I’m not putting stuff in my movies for shock value — ‘Look how many dicks she can get in her ass! God, that’s awesome!’” he crowed. “I want the sex to be aggressive, rough, dirty … it’s gonna be very, very hardcore. But when I see d.p. scenes, there’s not a lot going on, people can’t move, it’s like you’re not really having sex, it’s just like you’re trying to see if you can get two giant dicks in that girl. That’s quite an accomplishment, but I, myself, couldn’t jerk off to it. Thanks, please drive through, that’s okay. I also won’t put out content that is overly degrading to the girls. As far as I’m concerned, bad ass girls are not submissive and getting spit on. They’re doing as much of the fucking as the guy is doing.”

Which brings the table around to Superiority’s first title, After School Special: Bad Ass Girl’s Club, currently slated for release in September and starring Hailey Young, Tricia Oaks and fresh-off-the-busser Jessica Hanson. After School will kick off the company’s first line and be directed by Prather, but he promises that the series — as well as any other from Superiority — will run no more than about five installments.

“You’re never gonna see After School Special 276: My Grandmother in a Schoolgirl Outfit. Not saying that porn has to be the most creative writing, we’re not making James Cameron films here, but I can’t get bored. I’ll get bored.”

It also won’t necessarily all be comedy, depending on who gets behind the camera.

“Just because my stuff, personally, will have some sort of a comedic slant, everything from the company doesn’t have to,” Prather said. “I’ll put out a line that is really dark, evil fetish stuff if it’s good. To me, things just have to be unique and of a high quality, and marketable, and if it has those three key ingredients, I’m all for it. I don’t care what it is — I’ll put out something with no sex in it, if somebody’ll buy it and it’s good.”
