Newly formed Back End Productions has hired Calvin Howard, formerly of Wicked Pictures, as Vice President of Publicity and Marketing.
Established February 1, Back End is so named because it will actually offer residuals to performers who appear in its productions.
Howard, who worked Wicked for almost five years, told AVN.com that owners Chris Aagard, Allen Agler, Bruce Millstein and Rob Robaire come from mainstream entertainment.
“These guys want to do a bangup job,” he said, “and make a space for themselves in this industry. All the players are in place and they’re headed in the right direction.”
He Said, She Said, Back End’s first release, is slated to street May 12. Howard said it’s “based on the Kobe Bryant thing that’s going on right now.” It has two separate story lines, each with its own conclusion. DVD viewers will have the option of selecting one or the other or both.
Stars are Lexington Steele, Joelean, Vanessa Blue, Jacklyn Lick and Lee Stone, with Ron Jeremy in a cameo role.
