Alisa Sisic won't be representing Bosnia in the Miss World pageant in London, thanks to a Sarajevo newspaper that published photographs of the 20-year-old nurse in the nude and prompted revoking of her crown Tuesday.
In fact, after telling a press conference she wouldn't cry, she tearfully attacked the newspaper in question.
The Sarajevo daily Dnevni Avaz published the photographs last Thursday. Competition organizers were reported so shocked by the photographs and so concerned they could tarnish the Miss Bosnia title that they consulted and elected to revoke Sisic's title.
The title passed to first runner-up Samra Begovic, a 19-year-old Bosnian now living in Sweden.
Sisic was badly shaken by the events. After telling reporters it was difficult but she would not cry, she blasted Dnevni Avaz in tears, calling them "you people who have destroyed my life."
