Azure Entertainment has announced the addition of Matrix Content founder and former president and CEO, Jon Berg, as their new executive vice president of sales.
The move puts Berg in charge of Azure’s content division and expansion of the company’s operations to California. On a day-to-day basis, he will be responsible for sales operations and distribution, along with a focus on generating new revenue streams for the company.
“The creativity and thought Azure puts into their products is a great fit for me,” Berg said. “While they are already established there is plenty of room to grow with the company. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
Berg had served as president and CEO of Matrix Content since 1999, when he founded the company. Prior to that he ran an advertising agency.
“Jon started and ran one of the fastest growing, top-notch content companies in the online community,” said Bobby Knight, a managing partner with Azure. “He negotiated big deals and developed new Internet opportunities, including obtaining mutually beneficial partnerships and long-standing relationships with Adult industry leaders. This is why we feel he is a perfect fit for our company and will be a tremendous asset in completing our business plan.”
